When you speak into TypingWise, your voice is processed locally on your device first. The audio is then sent to your chosen AI service (OpenAI, Anthropic, or others) for transcription and text generation. We do not store, retain, or have access to your voice recordings.

Local Data Storage

TypingWise stores your settings, preferences, and conversation history locally on your Mac. This includes:

Your API keys and service configurations
App settings and preferences
Recent conversation history for context
Custom prompts and templates you create

This data never leaves your device.

License and Payment Information

When you purchase a TypingWise license, we collect:

Your email address for license delivery
Payment information (processed by our payment provider)
Basic device information for license validation

Your email is used solely for license delivery, important product updates, and customer support. We do not sell or share your email with third parties for marketing purposes.
